MORE THAN 40 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
A BRIEF HISTORY OF AQUA TECH SERVICES, INC.

photoIN 1968, JOSEPH COOPER JOINED DEADY CHEMICAL COMPANY
of Kansas City, Kansas, which was subsequently purchased in 1970 by Olin Corporation. For six years, Mr. Cooper represented Deady/Olin Water Services in New Mexico, West Texas and the Four Corners region of Colorado, Utah, Arizona and New Mexico, serving the water treatment needs of manufacturing plants, utilities, hospitals, institutions and commercial facilities. In 1974, he left Olin Water Services to form his own company, providing full service water treatment in both the industrial and commercial markets.

In 1981, the company formed an association with Dr. John Schnieders of Water Systems Engineering, Inc. in Ottawa, Kansas. A graduate of Sophia University (Tokyo, Japan) and the University of Missouri, John received degrees in Industrial Microbiology and Chemistry. This association greatly broadened the company's technical capabilities, enabling it to provide the services of a nationally recognized microbiologist and corrosion engineer.

Carlos Romero, CWT, joined the firm in 1984, rising through the ranks to become President and Service Manager. Currently, Carlos oversees the day-to-day operation of the business and the management of the company's field service personnel.

In 1998, the company changed its name to Aqua Tech Services, in order to emphasize its commitment to service its clients and to bring the most advanced chemical and equipment technologies to its customers.

Over the years, our local manufacturing plant and offices have expanded to 4,000 square feet, in order to meet our increased blending demands. Our blending capacity is now 20,000 pounds per day, and we offer bulk delivery to any point within our market area.

We are a member of the Association of Water Technologies, providing us and our customers with access to a wide array of products, equipment, technology and talents.

Aqua Tech Services is a licensed applicator under the NM Department of Agriculture Pesticide Control Act: Aquatic Pesticide. This is a required license for anyone applying restricted chemicals commercially, and satisfies EPA regulations covering these products. Mr. Romero holds this license for the company.

Aqua Tech is fully committed to providing quality services and products.
